Fitness Training

We understand training and competing in jiu-jitsu can be physically intimidating.   While we do everything we can at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Clovis to make our classes safe and accessible to every student, we are excited to offer a number of training programs to help you wherever you are at in your jiu-jitsu journey.  We offer three levels of jiu-jitsu specific training in a semi-private setting.


For those interested in getting ripped or buff, increasing functional fitness, or strength, we can develop custom programs for you in a semi-private setting. 


We also understand the toll on our bodies that comes from jiu-jitsu practice.  A combination of yoga and self-release techniques (e.g. foam rolling) will be taught in a special class called RollingwithYoga.  This 1 hour class will help you recover quicker, increase functional range of motion and correct imbalances in your body that can be created through poor body mechanics and/or injury.


Jiu-Jitsu Fitness Levels 1-3                $320 every 4 weeks

Non-Jiu-Jitsu Fitness Training         $320 every 4 weeks

Jiu-Jitsu Fitness - Level 1 (1-3 months)

Level 1 is focused on getting you prepared for your first class.   Your first session will include an overall review of your fitness level as it relates to learning jiu-jitsu.  From that review an individual plan will be developed and modified as you train and prepare for your first class.  You will have access to two 1-hour semi-private sessions per week for 4 weeks with a trainer.    Your 1 hour session will start with learning fundamental jiu-jitsu movements as warm up, stretch and release techniques to increase functional range of motion, muscle activation, strength and endurance training.

Jiu-Jitsu Fitness - Level 2 (3-12 months)

You have started your jiu-jitsu journey and you want to prepare yourself for sparring/rolling.  Level 2 is geared to take you to the next level.  In this semi-private class you will learn more complex jiu-jitsu movements, continue to improve your functional range of motion and work towards achieving personal records (PRs) in strength and endurance.  This program includes 2 semi-private classes plus access to the gym for you to add in additional workouts as needed.  Programming may include 2, 3 or 4 day plans.

Jiu-Jitsu Fitness - Level 3 (13+ months)

Level 3 is for those that want to compete or increase their fitness to the highest level possible.   Very specific goals will be identified and program development will be designed to allow you to achieve your goals.  Periodized training will be developed to match your competitive schedule.   Programing may include 3, 4 or 5-day plans.  This program includes 2 semi-private classes per week plus access to the gym for additional workout days as needed.  All other days will be left to the individual to complete on their own. 

Non-Jiu-Jitsu Fitness Training

For those not interested in Jiu-Jitsu specific training, we offer semi-private classes that will be individually programmed based on your goals.  It will include 2 semi-private classes per week with access to the gym to add days as needed.  Programming may include 2, 3, 4, or 5 day plans.  

Gym Access

Current jiu-jitsu members can purchase access to the gym during designated hours for a monthly fee of $35.

Rolling with Yoga 

Rolling with yoga combines yoga practice, jiu-jitsu movements, self-release techniques, and focused improvement on range of motion to aid in recovery and develop skills and balance throughout the body.   This class will be treated like any other class for membership purposes.  For example, if you have a membership that allows access to 12 classes a month, you could attend 2 Gracie Combatives classes and 1 Rolling With Yoga class per week.
